A quick update--the second episode of season 2 has now entered the coloring stage. I just want to get episode 3 fully done, and then season 2 can finally premiere. At this point, I have a strong feeling that season 2 will debut at the beginning of next year. But I'll have an official announcement for you all soon.

In the meantime, here's some more weekly filler.

I thought I'd showcase some of the real life locations that many of the settings in the comic are based off of. Since I needed a fancy science lab for the mysterious Nova Star Tech, what better than Pittsburgh's own Carnegie Science Center? Although, the interior is completely made up, the outside of the building is modeled after this real life location.

I'll have more comparisons next week. :)

Is this Nova star Tech a new building in the new episodes? If it's ok would you mind if I could use Jamie and it in an idea of a story.

It was briefly seen in the last two episodes of season one, and it's going to be investigated more in the new season, so we'll be seeing the interior of it a lot more.

And yes, you can use her and the lab if you want. :)

I was in Pittsburgh once, very briefly, and I like your Nova City version of it better than the real thing. ^^

Don't worry about taking the time to get JJ the way you want it to be. If it takes until January, then we'll see it in January! :)

The 'Burgh has been my home for forever, so I guess I got a soft spot for wanting to model my fake city after it. XD

Thanks. I'm starting to color episode 2, so the wait hopefully won't be too much longer.

I agree! I'll wait as long as i have to!

Your rendition of Carnegie in the form of Nova Labs had me in a state of amazement! I love the satelite dish too. I think Harryhausen was based on a real place too?

Seriously, thanks for your patience. I hope the new season lives up to everyone's expectations.

Yeah, there's tons of easter eggs littered throughout the comic. Harryhausen High is named after the classic stop motion special effects artist, Ray Harryhausen. And almost all the teachers and staff are named after some famous sci-fi character or actor or movie. :)
